Babushkas is an absurd, dark comedy with elements of magical realism. It follows two babushkas, Olga and Lyudmila, who live together near an abandoned nuclear power plant in rural Russia. One day, they awake to find their beloved cat, Masha, missing, having traveled through a gateway to the underworld.
